بمناسبة اليوبيل 125 سنة على ولادة الشاعر و الكاتب اللبنانى " جبران خليل جبران" سيقدم الفنان المصرى " طونى قلدس" حفل غنائى تحت عنوان " جبران و لبنان"
يضم أغانى من كلمات جبران خليل جبران وباقة من الأغانى اللبنانية و منها ما قدمته الفنانة اللبنانية المعروفة " فيروز" من كلمات جبران مثل ": أعطنى الناى و غنى المحبة يا بنى أمى سكن الليل و أغنينتين جديدتين للفنان طونى قلدس من كلمات جبران : يا نفسى أحبك يا أخى
و سيضم الحفل ايضاً مجموعة من الأغانى اللبنانية لكبار الفنانين مثل " ماجدة الرومى ، فيروز ، زياد الرحبانى ، جوليا بطرس"
و سيقدم الإحتفال فى دار الأوبرا المصرية – مسرح الجمهورية فى 27 يونيو 2008 فى تمام الساعة 9 مساءاً و فى مكتبة الأسكندرية – المسرح المكشوف ضمن فعاليات مهرجان الصيف العالمى فى 16 يوليو 2008
عن الفنان " طونى قلدس"
طونى مصرى الهوية ، درس فى دار الأوبرا المصرية تحت يد كبار الأساتذة و الفنانين الأوبراليين و هم " الدكتورة السوبرانو / تحية شمس الدين و الدكتورة السوبرانو / إيمان مصطفى . حيث درس و غنى العديد من الأدوار الأوبرالية كمثل " لاترافيتا ، توسكا ، الخ"
و غنى ايضاً من بداية عام 2003 مجموعة من الأعمال العربية الشرقية لكبار الفنانين منهم اسمهان حيث هو يعتبرها معلمته الأولى منذ الصغر و لأم كلثوم و محمد عبد الوهاب و عبد الحليم حافظ
و الأدوار و التواشيح القديمة قدم فى ديسمبر 2006 حفل خاص تحية إلى الفنان الفرنسى المعروف " شارل ازنافور" فى قصر الغورى بالقاهرة حيث غنى مجموعة كبيرة من مشوار هذا الفنان الفرنسى العالمى تحية إليه
ثم قدم فى سبتمبر 2007 حفل عالمى غنى فيه مجموعة و اساليب مختلفة من الغناء و اللغات حيث أثبت قدرته على التميز و الاحتراف بقدرته على الغناء الشرقى و الغربى و الأوبرالى بشكل مميز فى دار الأوبرا المصرية

Celebrating 125 Years of Gibran Khalil Gibran,The Egyptian singer Tony Kaldas will hold a set of concerts to commemorate the occasion in Egypt, presenting the masterpieces of Gibran as were sung by the famous diva Fayrouz and also by Majida el Rumi as well as new pieces composed specifically for the occasion. The concerts will also feature a host of Lebanese songs to bring the spirit of Gibran’s birthplace into the heart of Egypt. And Release his 2 new songs from Gibran Khalil Gibran Text , one will talk about unconditional love to all Religions and other one a dialogue between Human and his soul. And will renew many songs from the Lebanese repertoire sang by the biggest artists like Fairuz , Majida el roumy , Julia Botrous , Ziad el Rahabani.
Gibran Khalil Gibran was born in 1883, in Bcherri, Lebanon. He Lived in Boston for some years ; forced to get the education that his parents never had. Returned to Lebanon, he wanted to "cultivate his native language and become acquainted with Arabian erudition. During the following years Gibran painted, designed book covers and wrote in Arabic many short essays. In 1908, he went to Paris and studied at the Academie Julien and at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, then around 1912, moved to New York to the famous studio apartments where he lived until his last days. At this time his fame was growing extensively behind many English and translated poetry and prose. In 1923, The Prophet was published in English, later to become a world-renown masterpiece and to be translated into over twenty different languages.
About the Singer:
Tony Kaldas studied Singing in the Opera house with the famous Sopranos Dr.Taheya shams el din and Dr.Iman Mustafa. He performed many arias and opera roles such as La Traviata, Tosca, and others during Opera Recitals. Despite his opera training as a Dramatic Tenor, Tony was able to sing with various styles and Languages, performing songs in Arabic from the legendary um-kalthoum and Asmahan in concerts at the Cairo Opera House, and sang pieces also for the contemporary Lebanese diva Majida el Roumy. During the same period Tony performed in an exclusive concert Tony Kaldas sings for Charles Aznavour at Chateau de Ghouri in Egypt, where he was able to bring together his knowledge of the Opera singing and the charm of the light bohemian singing of France of the seventies.
Last September, Tony performed a large repertoire at the Opera House in concert with soprano Maysa Orensa, Concert from the East and West, where the repertoire included songs in Arabic, French, Italian, and German.
Tony is Holding 2 concerts celebrating the 125 Jubilee of Gibran Khalil Gibran Birth in Egypt, taking place at
The Opera House – Gomhoreya Theatre on June 27th 2008 and
Bibliotheca Alexandrina – Open air Theatre on July 16th .2008
